IV. Treasurer Report- Dee Nance - Berkley Squires made a motion to approve, Sandi Wilson seconded, 2010 budget was approved with changes to the District Chair fund and the Bereavement Fund.

VI. Committee Reports/Assignments
- Recreational Sports- Nick Norman- District basketball tournaments will be held in Trussville and Hoover, girl’s games in Homewood. The deadline for rule change submissions is April 30. Bid deadline for next year’s tournaments is June 25.
- Publicity & Publications- Jason Burnett- Information for the May-Aug issue of the Alabamian is due March 5. Alabamian would like to have an ARPA spotlight, highlight a recreation professional from your affiliate.
- Education- Tiffany Wade- April 13 & 14, 2010, Creative Camp at Camp Skyline deadline for registration is March 8. Summer Camp Workshop with Dr. Phun, June 2 in Hoover ($20 or $25). TR Workshop, June 3 in Hoover.
- Membership- No report
- Therapeutics- Jesse Garris, Spring Camporee will be April 9-11 in Hoover.
- Cultural Diversity Section- Willie Moore III- Officers were elected at the meeting in Orange Beach. Willie Moore III was elected the State Chair for the committee. We now need a District Chair to fill his position. Deadline for scholarship applications is April 15, 2010. There will be more advertising, possibly in the Alabamian for CDS activities. Discussion on having a luncheon at Conference for awarding scholarships. Next meeting will be May 19 in Birmingham at Ensley Park.

- Alabama 5-0 (formerly Aging)- Jennifer Smith reported that the Spring Fling will be in Opelika, April 21-22. The cost is $30. The 2010 Fall Retreat will be a cruise to Cozumel on Nov 11-15. Slots are still available for late entries. Senior Appreciation Day in Andalusia, April 1, music, BBQ, free for seniors. Senior Day at the Met, May 19. Master’s Games in Trussville Oct 11-13. District games in August.

VII. Old Business - Mike Sullivan
- Tuscaloosa has been chosen for the 2011 Conference.
- Approval of the removal of the NRPA Representative from the Board.
- Regina Grisholm name the “at large” Board member
VIII. New Business
- Agenda Item #1- Submitted by Tina Kitchens, Request for funds to be donated for a bench to be placed at the State Office in honor of Jim Spain. Brian Davis made a motion to send $125 to District I for the bench, motion approved.
- Agenda Item #2- Submitted by the Conference Site Selection Committee, Auburn Hotel and Conference Center has submitted a bid to host the 2012 State Conference. Discussion on who would organize the event without the support of Auburn Parks and Rec. Dee Nance made a motion to approve the Auburn Hotel and Conference Center as the 2012 host site for the State Conference, Berkley Squires seconded, motion approved
IX. Affiliate News
Tuscaloosa- 2011 Conference Committee having discussion about mixing up the conference sessions to allow free time on one afternoon to be able to enjoy the sites of the host city.
Homewood- Senior Director position still open. New cardio room opening Sunday March 7. We Love Homewood Day will be May 1.
Vestavia Hills- The ground has been broken for the new athletic facility. Hoping for Sept 2 opening date.
Trussville- 2010 Master’s Games in October. Would like affiliate sponsors for the games. March 27th Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt. March 27 Fishing Expo. March 26 Senior Pageant.
Hoover- Indoor Yard Sale March 27. Day Camp, Spring Camporee, Women’s basketball league. Celebrate Hoover Day May 2.
Birmingham- Spring Break Camps, Senior Fishing in May, Regular fishing day in June, Rec Center having UAB-Walk Program.
Sumiton- Basketball, Football- Field House should be ready for fall season. Sumiton is using Bevil State baseball facility. New staff member. Purchase of 5 acres for new Rec Center. Walk for Autism April 17. May 15 is Relay for Life Walk.
Jasper- Leadership Walker County has taken on the Miracle Field as their project. Adult basketball. Special Olympics Sectional Swim Meet April 23. SIAC Softball tournament.
Center Point- Building Bridges Senior Center. Possibly a dog Park.
